san diego business expo San Diego Business Expo
san diego business expo Larger-format business expos with full exhibitor floors, panel content, and the mid-market buyer audience that fills the room.
Larger expos. Same standard.
A business expo and a business showcase are different formats with different ideal use cases. A showcase typically caps exhibitors at 40 and attendees at 300 — tight, curated, deep conversation. An expo is bigger: 80-150 exhibitors, 500-1,500 Our san diego business expo services ensure attendees, panel content running through the day, and a more open floor structure. Expos are right when you want broad market exposure, brand visibility, and serendipitous lead flow. Showcases are right when you want depth and matchmaking.
Cufflinks SD runs two annual expos: the Spring Business Expo in March and the Fall Business Expo in October. Each runs at one of the city's larger venues — typically the Manchester Grand Hyatt's exhibition hall or the San Diego Convention Center's smaller space. Exhibitor mix runs broader than our showcases — we accept established companies expanding into San Diego, professional service firms looking for high-volume visibility, and trade associations using the floor for industry-specific outreach. Attendee count typically lands between 800 and 1,200 across the day. Learn more about our san diego business expo offerings.
We hold the same curation standard at expo scale that we hold at showcase scale. Exhibitor categories are balanced to avoid direct competition; attendee registration is verified for professional standing; floor routing is designed to drive traffic past every exhibitor; panel content is selected to align with the audience interests. The result is an expo that feels deliberate rather than chaotic — and that converts at meaningfully higher rates than the city's larger trade-show events.
What we do differently.
Curated Rooms
Every guest list is reviewed. We protect the room — that's why decision-makers keep coming back. Quality over headcount.
Real Introductions
Beyond the mixer — our team makes warm intros, hosts industry roundtables, and runs the directory. Networking is the start, not the whole product.
San Diego Focused
Built in San Diego, for San Diego. Downtown, La Jolla, Del Mar, Coronado, Carmel Valley. We know the venues, the people, the rhythm of the city.
Expo format breakdown
The exhibitor floor. 80-150 exhibitor tables organized by category, with category leaders positioned at floor anchor points to drive cross-category foot traffic. Standard tables (8-foot, professionally branded), premium tables (10-foot with backdrop), and corner positions are available at different price points. Power and Wi-Fi included; lead capture device included. Floor opens 9:00 AM and runs through 4:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break.
Panel content. Three to four panels run during the day on the main stage — typically 'state of the city,' 'industry-specific spotlight,' 'M&A and capital outlook,' and a closing keynote. Panels are 45 minutes including Q&A. Attendees can dip in and out of panels; the floor stays active during panel content.
Networking lounges. Two structured lounges serve different purposes. The Members Lounge is reserved for Cufflinks SD members and members-only refreshments — it's where members do quieter business away from the floor. The Industry Lounges (Real Estate, Finance, Legal, Healthcare, Tech) bring together professionals from each industry for hour-long focused mingling.
Matchmaking. We run a digital matchmaking platform during the expo that allows attendees to identify exhibitors of interest and book pre-scheduled 15-minute meetings on the floor. Roughly 30% of expo attendees use the matchmaking layer; those attendees report higher post-event conversion than attendees who do walk-around-only.
Press and content coverage. Cufflinks SD expos draw San Diego business media coverage — typically the Business Journal, Times of San Diego, and several podcast crews. Exhibitors get visibility through that coverage when their products or stories align. We work with exhibitors to coordinate press opportunities for those interested.
Post-event package. Every exhibitor receives the verified attendee list (those who opted into exchange), the matchmaking conversation log, professional photography from their table, and access to the 30-day follow-up automation. Exhibitor packages also include a digital catalog listing that stays active for the full year between expos.

Who exhibits at the Cufflinks SD expos
Typical exhibitor mix: professional service firms (law, finance, accounting, consulting, marketing), established B2B SaaS companies expanding their San Diego presence, real-estate brokerages and developers, healthcare service providers (RCM, EHR, practice management), insurance brokers, business banking and lending, and trade associations. Approximately 25% of exhibitors at any given expo are returning from a prior year — the others rotate based on annual category mix planning. Member companies get priority access to exhibitor slots when they open each spring and fall.
The Spring Expo is the only one we go to as a company. Twelve booked meetings, three signed deals.
